Injured Giants pitcher Barry Zito threw off flat ground from a distance of 60 feet for about 10 minutes on Friday night. Progress has been slow for Zito, who's on the disabled list because of a right foot sprain. Just about one week ago he was able to put pressure on it. "I don't know [what's next]," Zito said. "The trainers make up that schedule. I just go with what they tell me." San Francisco still doesn't have a timetable for his return.
