Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier extended his hitting streak to 28 games, the longest in the major leagues in six years, with an infield single off the glove of Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro against left-hander James Russell in the bottom of the fifth inning on Monday night. Ethier's hit scored Jerry Sands from third base, giving the Dodgers a 5-1 lead. They went on to win 5-2, according to an ESPN.com report.
