Michael Young started at first base for the Rangers on Tuesday night for the first time in his career. "Obviously I have the least amount of experience there," Young said. "Like I've said all along, I'm just going out there and trusting my instincts. There's obviously a learning curve I'm trying to be aware of, but I do want to focus on the things [coach] Dave [Anderson] has been working on and adjust as quick as possible." Rangers manager Ron Washington said he was unsure how many games Young would play at first base. "I don't foresee any problems," Washington said. "Michael played in some tough positions on the field. Then you move him over to first base and it's not so tough.... He knows the little things that have to be done."
