Neftali Feliz made his first start for the Rangers on Thursday, lasting two innings in a split-squad game against the Indians.
He threw 32 pitches and didn't allow a run despite a walk, a hit batter and back-to-back singles.
Feliz, who closed for Texas last season, is trying to crack the team's starting rotation.
