Derek Jeter will get some extra work with Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long. In six at-bats this spring, the shortstop has hit the ball on the ground each time. The extra session is at Jeter's request, made Monday to Long after another game in which he failed to hit the ball in the air. "I'm certainly not ready at this point to cash it in and start from scratch," Long said. "We can't go crazy here."
