Robinson Cano will report late to the Yankees without punishment. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said the All-Star second baseman "got his dates mixed up" and would not be disciplined for being late. "Robby thought [Sunday] was the report date and Monday was the physical," Cashman said. "No biggie. In the end it's not costing us anything. I learned from the Rickey Henderson days that you can't overreact to stuff like this. You want everybody here on time, and that's important, but on the realistic side, he's not going to miss anything." Cano, 28, led the Yankees with a .319 batting average in 2010. He also hit 29 home runs and drove in 109 runs in his first year as the No. 5 hitter.
