The Cincinnati Reds acquired outfielder Cody Ross from the Los Angeles Dodgers for a player to be named Monday and designated infielder Tony Womack for assignment.
"I'm happy to find a home, especially with the Reds, a great organization with a lot of history," Ross said after arriving at RFK Stadium in time to take batting practice before Cincinnati's game against the Washington Nationals. "It's an exciting time for me now."
