The Yankees will be "in early" on free-agent pitcher Cliff Lee when he hits the market at midnight on Saturday night. Currently, New York believes that Texas is their only true competition for Lee. "I don't know if they'll make an offer right away, but they'll be in quickly," a baseball official said of New York's pursuit of Lee. The Angels could be a wild card in the race to sign Lee as well.
