The White Sox are interested in giving left-hander John Danks a multiyear contract.
The team is trying to work a new contract into their offseason budget, according to sources.
Chicago also has to make decisions on veterans Paul Konerko and A.J. Pierzynski.
Danks made $3.45 million this past season while proving to be the team's steadiest starter.
He finished 15-11 with a 3.72 ERA.
