The two-time defending National League champion Phillies were knocked off their perch on Saturday night, much to their surprise. San Francisco eliminated Philadelphia in Game 6 of the NLCS on Saturday night. "I think shocked is pretty appropriate," closer Brad Lidge said. "I just don't think any of us saw this happening. I felt like we had the best team in baseball this year. It doesn't always work out. Unfortunately, we just caught a team that seems to be doing everything right." The Phillies have more than $143 million committed to 18 players for the 2011 season.
