David Ortiz said a report indicating he had agreed to a four-year, $50 million contract extension with the Red Sox was premature. ESPN Deportes reported the new deal Friday night, but Ortiz, his agent and Sox sources all indicated nothing has been finalized. ?Don?t believe anyone until it?s (signed),? Ortiz said, miming a signature. ?I?ll let you know when I do.? The Sox slugger, who has hit 119 home runs and driven in 388 runs over the past three regular seasons, is being paid $6.5 million this season. The club holds a $7.75 million option for 2007, but that likely will be eliminated if an agreement on an extension is reached.
