The Giants plan to monitor young pitcher Madison Bumgarner down the stretch. Bumgarner has pitched 146 innings this season, which is already a career-high for the left-hander. He admitted that he'd be disappointed if the team took him out of the rotation in September. "Anyone would be," Bumgarner said. "If you don't get to pitch coming down the stretch ... That's the most fun time to pitch, in a pennant race. I don't think that will happen. Hopefully, I'm in good enough condition and shape they won't have to make that decision, and I can pitch the way I did in the middle of the season."
