The Giants have dropped infielder Freddy Sanchez from second to seventh in the batting order. Sanchez called this "the worst year [personally] I've had in baseball." A .299 lifetime hitter entering this season, the second baseman entered Sunday hitting .258 with a .315 on-base percentage and a .324 slugging percentage. "I don't feel like I've done much to help this team win at all," said Sanchez. "It's frustrating and disappointing, obviously. ... You see everyone playing good baseball; I want to be a part of it. If I can get going, that'll help us even more."
