The Mets haven't gotten the production they expected out of their outfielders, but they still aren't ready to call up prospect Chris Carter. Carter has been playing very well at Triple-A Buffalo and New York isn't ruling out a promotion at some point. The 28-year-old is batting .348 with four home runs in 23 games for Buffalo. The Mets see him as capable of playing serviceably in the corner outfield positions and first base.
