After yet another dreadful April, Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira is starting to get back on track.
He tied a career-high with four hits on Sunday and is 6-for-9 in two games this month, raising his average to .189.
"You try to go out there and put together a good season. No one's going to judge me on one month," said Teixeira.
The first baseman hit .200 last April, but was even worse (.136) this time around.
"I wish I knew" what caused it, manager Joe Girardi said.
