Riley Cooper, who was taken by the Rangers in the 26th round of last June's MLB draft, wants to play in the NFL.
Cooper caught an 80-yard touchdown pass in Florida's Sugar Bowl victory on Friday and had 780 yards on eight touchdowns to lead all Gators receivers in 2009.
He made a deal with the Rangers to return to Gainesville for his senior season and now he wants a shot at the NFL.
