The Rangers are looking for a way to reunite with pitcher Colby Lewis, who has spent the past two years in Japan. Lewis wants to return to the United States and Texas is showing interest. "We've developed our Pacific Rim operation the last few years, and our guys have built a solid foundation both with relationships and from a scouting perspective," Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said. "I expect we'll be selectively involved with the right players coming over. We're aware of Colby's situation, and obviously know him from when he was in the organization." Lewis was originally taken by the Rangers as the 38th overall pick in the 1999 First-Year Player Draft out of Bakersfield Junior College.
