For just the second time in baseball history, a full regular season will be completed without a 20-game winner. It's the second time in four years that mark hasn't been reached, according to MLB.com. CC Sabathia of the Yankees and Adan Wainwright of the Cardinals were both denied in their pursuit of reaching the 20-win mark on Friday night. Sabathia lost to the Rays, while Wainwright had a no-decision. Both will finish the season with a record of 19-8. "This is right there with the most disappointing, toughest regular-season losses that I can remember," Cardinals manager Tony La Russa said. "It was an important win for us if we can get it with what was at stake. Adam has been so great all year long. I'm really, really disappointed." Wainwright had a 6-1 lead against the Brewers after six innings.
