The Giants are in need of a fifth starter. Joe Martinez had a poor start against the Diamondbacks on Thursday night, and has been removed from the rotation. The Giants won't need a fifth starter until Sept. 6 in Milwaukee. Manager Bruce Bochy said that, for now, top prospect Madison Bumgarner is not being considered for that start.
