Nationals acting general manager Mike Rizzo said Tuesday that it's "very unlikely" that Stephen Strasburg will be called up this season. Strasburg received a record-breaking contract worth $15.1 million guaranteed over four years from Washington on Monday night. "We're going to see where his development takes him, and we're going to be very cautious with him and develop him like one of the elite prospects in the game," Rizzo told the Associated Press. "There's no expectations of him to be in the rotation in 2010. If he earns it, and he's ready for it, then we'll see where his talent takes him." Strasburg hasn't pitched since May 29, when San Diego State lost to Virginia in an NCAA regional game.
