Jake Peavy will not make his debut for the White Sox on Sept. 3 against the Cubs because the team doesn't want him running the bases. The Chicago Sun-Times writes that Peavy's debut will come on Aug. 28 at Yankee Stadium at the earliest. He is expected to pitch for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday and Saturday. "We'll see the next couple of starts," general manager Ken Williams told the Sun-Times. "But I have a pretty good idea. He's not going to pitch there [at Wrigley Field]. He got hurt on the bases. He's not going to pitch against the Cubs."
