The Rays watched Pedro Martinez pitch in the Dominican Republic recently, but are unlikely to sign the free agent. Listin Diario, a Dominican newspaper, reported that Martinez threw 20 fastballs for the Rays, who could work him out again. However, indications from the team were that it's "very unlikely" anything will come of the audition.
