The Marlins have extended manager Fredi Gonzalez's contract through 2011. Gonzalez was entering the final year of his initial three-year, $1.5 million deal. "It really, really was a tough negotiation," joked Gonzalez, who was extended the offer on Saturday. "I don't think I let him finish the sentence. I said, yes, I want to be here with him and I want to be here for a long time and win a championship."
