Former Yankee outfielder Bernie Williams and current player Johnny Damon aren't bothered by what former manager Joe Torre wrote in his recently-released book.
"As far as I'm concerned, I've had a real close relationship with him over the years, and I really don't see that changing," said Williams, who spent ten years under Torre.
"I enjoyed playing for [Torre]. He showed me how to handle the media, and how to handle a team. Until Joe does something crazy, he's fine in my book," Damon said.
Damon also defended teammate Alex Rodriguez.
"Alex is a very good teammate. When he disappears, at least you know he's disappearing to a batting cage, or a gym," Damon added.
