The Diamondbacks have reportedly made an offer to free-agent infielder Ramon Vazquez, according to a Major League source. Vazquez, 32, has been one of the club's top targets after he hit .290 for the Rangers in 2008. "I think we're making progress," GM Josh Byrnes said. "In the offseason, sometimes that means getting close to something that you think could work, or it can also be a process of elimination where you find out things that are not going to work."
