The Texas Rangers have cut ties with starting pitcher Sidney Ponson, according to The Dallas Morning News. The team cited a lack of respect for his teammates and the club, as they suddenly released their No. 3 starter. "He had disrespectful and adverse reactions to situations that were unbecoming of a teammate," General Manager Jon Daniels said. "We want guys who want to be here. We're trying to put together a team here, and based on some comments and reactions, he didn't want to be part of that. That's not something we're going to tolerate." Ponson was 4-1 with a 3.88 ERA for the team this season.
