Derek Jeter: The popular NY captain is back in the lineup and the Yankees are in first place. Jeter is hitting a consistent .336 and is our new #1. 2.(2.) Alex Rios: The OF is hitting .341 and has Toronto still in the AL-East play-off hunt with the Yankees and Red Sox. 3.(10.) David Wright: Another solid week for the first-place Mets and Wright who raised his average to .336 and moves all the way up to #3. 4.(12.) Joe Mauer: I'm not sure who knows this guy outside the state of Minnesota, but he's leading MLB with a .376 average, and should make the AL All-Star team. 5.(19.) Ichiro Suzuki: The hits keep on coming (105) and he is now hitting .367 for Seattle. Ichrio jumps all the way up to #5. 6.(13.) Alfonso Soriano: The talented Soriano makes his first appearance in our Top 10. Several teams will be courting the Nationals before the trade deadline for his services. 7.(5.) Vernon Wells: Wells' name continues to surface in trade talks, but with his consistent .328 average, he should stay with the Blue Jays for the play-off push. 8.(6.) Miquel Tejada: Another consistent week for the Baltimore star who is hitting .336. 9.(3.) Vladamir Guerrero: The Angels OF struggled a bit this week (.313) and drops to #8. 10.(7.)
