By Shane Cobb Well, the Pistons are out and the Tigers are in. The Detroit Tigers currently hold the best record in the major leagues, but find themselves with only a game an a half lead in their own division. Three new teams find themselves in the Top-10 after the Astros and Cubs take a giant step out. Here are your latest RealGM team rankings. *Number in parenthesis indicates previous ranking 1. Detroit Tigers (8) 38-22 ? The Tigers have the people of Michigan saying, ?Deeeettrrroiiiittt Baaasseeballl?. Well, not really, but they should. The Tigers avoided getting swept by the White Sox and were able to hold on to the best record in baseball and the AL Central lead. 2. Chicago White Sox (4) 36-23 ? The Sox have the second best record in all of baseball, yet aren?t even first in their division. You can blame that on the Tigers though. The Sox tried to complete a three-game sweep yesterday that would?ve put them atop the RealGM team rankings and the AL Central, but they were unsuccessful. 3. New York Mets (3) 36-23 ? David Wright and the Mets hold the best record in the National League and are not looking back. Mets recalled Lasting Milledge from the minor leagues and he has been impressive slugging two homeruns and driving in eight runs in just nine games. 4. New York Yankees (12) 35-23 ? One team in the Top-5 isn?t good enough for the people of New York. Both the Mets and Yankees earned a spot in this weeks ranking. The only reason Yankees fans should be upset with is the fact that their team is actually behind the Mets. Let?s hope the Yankees can keep this up though with Sheffield at until at least September. 5. Cincinnati Reds (2) 36-24 ? The NL Central is wide open now with Albert Pujols going down due to an oblique strain. The Reds see the tunnel and are heading right through it as they looking to expand their lead. The Reds are red hot as they have won eight in a row and have not lost a game in the month of June. 6. Boston Red Sox (6) 34-23 ? Mount Ramirez has finally woken up and erupted for 7 homeruns in his last 14 games, raising his season total to 14 bombs. The Sox have won five of their past ten games and are knocking on the Yankees door, just waiting for them to open it. 7. St. Louis Cardinals (5) 35-24 ? The Cardinals sent people in the city of St. Louis running all over the place when they found out they had to place Albert Pujols on the disabled list. Knowing they are going to be without Pujols for a while, the team is on a downhill sprint. The team has lost three games in a row, and seven of their last ten. 8. Arizona Diamondbacks (18) 34-26 ? Despite leading the NL West, the Diamondbacks find themselves in a tough spot. They have lost four games in a row and have shrunk their division lead down to just one game. Hopefully this whole Jason Grimsley pandemonium won?t distract the snakes. 9. Toronto Blue Jays (9) 33-26 ? Even though the Blue Jays are an impressive seven games over five hundred, they are still third in their division. The Three Musketeers (Glaus, Wells, and Rios) combine for more than 40 HR and 130 RBI. And we?re talking only 59 games into the season. 10. Los Angeles Dodgers (20) 33-27 ? With the reappearance of injuries in LA, the Dodgers have had to rely on rookies. Good thing Logan White and his crew have produced one of the best minor league systems in all of baseball. Among the rookies are Russell Martin, Andre Ethier, and Matt Kemp. They sure haven?t acted like rookies though as they have carried the Dodgers to a 33-27 record, second best in the NL West. 11. Texas Rangers (16) 32-27 12. Philadelphia Phillies (21) 32-28 13. San Francisco Giants (15) 32-28 14. San Diego Padres (26) 31-29 15. Cleveland Indians (13) 29-30 16. Houston Astros (1) 30-31 17. Colorado Rockies (14) 29-30 18. Oakland Athletics (19) 29-31 19. Atlanta Braves (22) 29-32 20. Milwaukee Brewers (11) 29-32 21. Baltimore Orioles (17) 28-33 22. Washington Nationals (27) 28-33 23. Los Angeles Angels (10) 27-32 24. Seattle Mariners (25) 28-34 25. Minnesota Twins (24) 26-33 26. Tampa Bay Devil Rays (23) 24-36 27. Chicago Cubs (7) 23-36 28. Florida Marlins (28) 21-36 29. Pittsburgh Pirates (30) 22-39 30. Kansas City Royals (29) 15-43
