Former major league infielder Fernando Vina said Monday he used human growth hormone in 2003 to try and recover from injuries, according to a report on ESPN.com.
Vina, who now is an ESPN baseball analyst, however, denied ever buying steroids from former Mets' clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski.
