The New York Yankees have apparently dealt right-hander Tyler Clippard to the Washington Nationals for right-handed reliever Jonathan Albaladejo. The Washington Post reported the deal will be finalized once both players take their physicals. Clippard, who will contend for a starting spot in Washington's rotation, made five starts for the Yankees last year and was 3-1 with a 6.33 earned run average. The 22-year-old hurler has pitched to a 3.52 over in five years at the minor league level. Albaladejo, meanwhile, was 1-1 with a 1.88 ERA in 14 games for the Nationals last season.
