Bernie Williams enjoyed his first free summer in more than 20 years, but he hasn't ruled out the idea of making a return to the majors next season. Where that would be is unknown, however, as the Yankees would be unlikely to offer him more than a non-roster invite to spring training, the same invitation he turned down last February, and it's unclear whether they would even be willing to do that. "I don't know. The question still stands in my mind," the center fielder said when asked if his playing days were over. "I'm still staying in shape, doing all the things I need to do to make sure I'm in good physical condition. It's still up in the air."
