The Dodgers are officially interested in signing Alex Rodriguez. General Manager Ned Colletti said Thursday he would soon meet with new manager Joe Torre and other staff members to discuss the possibility of signing Torre's former star third baseman with the Yankees. They'll also talk about other free agents and trade scenarios. "We'll get into that when it's appropriate," said Colletti, adding that Torre would have "the same latitude" that former manager Grady Little had regarding player personnel decisions. "The free-agent market in my mind is very thin."
