Those hoping to see righthander Roy Oswalt pitch again will have to wait until next year. Oswalt said Wednesday he will miss his final scheduled start Friday, thus ending his season. Oswalt, who went 14-7 with a 3.18 ERA in 212 innings over 32 starts, has been bothered by a strained left oblique muscle suffered Aug. 18 at San Diego. He had a cortisone shot last month but opted to miss his final start and not risk further injury. "I was a little sore my last two or three starts," Oswalt said. "I don't want to risk hurting myself in the last start and have to worry about something in the offseason."
