First baseman Carlos Delgado was out of the New York Mets' lineup Wednesday because of a sore hip. Delgado grabbed his right hip after an awkward swing in the eighth inning of the Mets' 11-7 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night. Manager Willie Randolph came out of the dugout to check, but Delgado stayed in the game and struck out. Afterward, he said he felt something pull when he took the swing. He didn't think it was a serious problem.
