The Giants are considering skipping Tim Lincecum's next turn in the rotation. Although his fastball velocity dipped into the high 80s in his last start Sunday, Lincecum and manager Bruce Bochy said the rookie's pitching arm is fine. The club merely wants to limit his innings in his first season. "He's a guy we're talking about giving a break," Bochy said. "That's a possibility. With a day off Thursday, we'd like to give all the guys an extra day off. But with this being Timmy's first year here, we're talking about skipping a start. He's fine, though."
