Brewers center fielder Brady Clark left Milwaukee's game against St. Louis on Wednesday after bruising his right rib cage trying to break up a double play in the third inning.
Clark slid hard into second baseman Hector Luna and both stayed down for a minute. Luna's right ankle appeared to bend awkwardly on the play. Clark jogged back to the dugout but didn't come out for the fourth inning.
Clark, who leads the NL with 45 multi-hit games and ranks second with 147 hits, was replaced by Chris Magruder.
