The future of Bruce Bochy as manager of the Texas Rangers is unclear as he finishes his three-year contract with the club. Bochy led the Rangers to a World Series title in his first season in 2023, but they have missed the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.
"Season's not over. It's something we'll talk about when the season's over," Bochy said.
"The two of us will sit down and talk about where things are, what happened this year, where we're going," president of baseball operations Chris Young said. "There's things that I'm sure he's going to want to know about the future of the team and we'll talk about it, like we did three years ago, and figure it out."
Bochy had been out of baseball for three seasons after stepping away from the Giants in 2019 when he was hired by the Rangers.
