John Patterson did not pitch much last season. Now his rough start to the 2007 campaign just got worse. The Nationals on Sunday placed Patterson on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his right elbow. Patterson made just eight starts due to nerve problems in the elbow last year, and is off to 1-5 start with a 7.47 ERA in seven starts. The righthander was removed from Saturday's start against Chicago after two innings due to pain in his right biceps. Patterson's lone bright spot of the season came last Monday, when he picked up his first win by outdueling Jake Peavy in a 3-2 over the Padres. While Patterson made his way to the DL, Cristian Guzman and Nook Logan were activated from the DL after Sunday's game.
