The Royals on Tuesday purchased the contract of Billy Butler from Class AAA Omaha of the PCL and placed first baseman Ryan Shealy on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain. Butler had a solid debut, going 2-for-4 in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Angels. "It was kind of exciting," Butler said. "It's one of those things you'll never forget. The nerves are always there. I don't care how many hits you get. "I just had more nerves today. I was just looking for something to hit through the infield. I'm proud to be here. I'm proud to be a Kansas City Royal as long as they want me."
