The Oakland Athletics will call up shortstop Jacob Wilson from Triple-A Las Vegas before Friday’s series opener against the Los Angeles Angels, according to a source.

Wilson is the A's No. 1 prospect and baseball's 50th overall, per MLB Pipeline.

He has played just 72 career Minor League games, batting .438 this season across three levels.
