Merrill Kelly is hoping for a mid-August return to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Kelly had a 2.19 ERA over four starts before a teres major strain in his throwing shoulder sent him to the injured list.

The right-hander said that "in my mind, I'm hoping I'm on that Tampa, Miami, Boston trip," referring to a nine-game Diamondbacks road trip that starts on August 16. "That seems to be around the right time I might be back in there, but obviously, things can change as we go along."
