Juan Soto is "almost certain to be traded" by the San Diego Padres, according to a report.

In the report, Ken Rosenthal cites the Padres' payroll burden and need for pitching that could be acquired in a trade.

"The question is not whether Soto will be traded," Rosenthal wrote. "The question is which team will acquire him."

Soto, 25, entering his final year of team control and is projected to make $33 million in arbitration.
