The New York Mets won't hire a general manager this offseason, David Stearns says.

Stearns, the club's new president of baseball operations, believes the Mets have "enough going on" this winter.

Since Stearns took over, former general manager Billy Eppler resigned after Major League Baseball started an investigation into his use of so-called "phantom" trips to the injured list during the 2023 season.
