Craig Counsell is in the final year of his contract as manager of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Despite closing in on his third National League Central title with the Brewers since 2018, there had been speculation that Counsell would take at least the next season off.

However, Jon Heyman reports that "the latest word is that he's expected to be in the dugout somewhere in 2024."

A bidding war could begin between the Brewers and New York Mets for the manager with former executive David Stearns having left for the Big Apple earlier this month.
