The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox will face off this weekend for the first time during the 2023 season.

Over the next 10 days, the two clubs will play six times. Once perhaps the best rivalry in sports, Yankees-Red Sox isn't as thrilling as it once was in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

"It doesn't feel like what we have with Tampa now, or with Toronto now. You could argue that [the Red Sox] haven't been who they really are the last couple years," Yankees starter Nestor Cortes said.

The Yankees will enter the series in third place in the American League East, while the Red Sox sit in last place with a losing record.
