The Miami Marlins have placed Jazz Chisholm, Jr. on the injured list with a right turf toe problem that is expected to sideline him for four to six weeks.

Playing the outfield for the first time this season, Chisholm collided with the center-field wall while attempting to catch a ball on Saturday. He remained down on the warning track for a couple of minutes before he reached his feet and limped off the field.

"Not what you want from your star center fielder," manager Skip Schumaker said. "We put a lot on his plate early in the year and in spring training, and he's done nothing but grow in that position."
