The New York Yankees have been decimated by injury and currently sit in last place, but Brian Cashman isn't ready to hit the panic button.

Cashman still believes the club can win the World Series as long as they get healthier.

"Don't count us out," Cashman said. "Don't give up on us. ... This is a championship-caliber operation."

The Yankees entered Thursday at 17-15 with a $277 million payroll -- $151 million of which is currently on the injured list. In addition to stars like Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Carlos Rodon, New York is also missing a number of depth pieces.

"It's not like the NBA with the G League where you can pick and choose whatever you want if you have a rash of injuries," Cashman said. "You have to deal with what you have internally here."
