The World Baseball Classic will return in 2026, Rob Manfred announced on Tuesday night.

The WBC returned this month for the first time since 2017, when Team USA was victorious.

Facets of the event will be reviewed and reevaluated after this tournament, including possible venues and the potential incorporation of recent MLB rule changes, such as the pitch timer and shift limits.
