Mariano Rivera has no problem pitching for a contract. "I am perfect with that," Rivera said of entering the season on the final year of a deal. "I am not bothered by it all. Why should I be bothered?" The day before Spring Training opened, Rivera said he wouldn't negotiate during the season. On Wednesday, however, the legendary closer left the door open a bit if the Yankees come to him. "I don't know what they are thinking," Rivera said. GM Brian Cashman has said Joe Torre, Jorge Posada and Rivera have to wait until the season is over before beginning contract talks.
