Miguel Cabrera says next season will likely be his last.

The 2023 campaign is the final guaranteed year on his contract with the Detroit Tigers.

"I think it's going to be my last year," Cabrera said. "It feels a little weird to say that. ... I think it's time to say goodbye to baseball."

Cabrera would surpass 20 years of Major League service time by the end of next season. He'll make $32 million next year and collect an $8 million buyout on a 2024 vesting option.

The two-time MVP will turn 40 in April.
